朝田理恵写真展「機微を探す」

ーレンズを通し肉眼を超えた自然の機微をさがすー

「機微をさがす」は、そこに在る、消えてゆくものの中にある、見ているが見えていない、
肉眼ではとらえられない自然のかすかな移ろい「機微」の発見を試みた作品群です。

私にとって「機微をさがす」という言葉には2つの意味があります。
1つめは、そこに在るもの、消えてゆくもの 全てのかすかな移ろいの一瞬を捉えること。
2つめは、レンズが描写する映像を通し、肉眼ではとらえられない視覚の外側にある自然のすがたを映し出すこと。

見ているが見えていない、人間の視覚ではとらえられない
写真でしか見えない自然のわずかな表情を知りたいと思っています。

一瞬目に入った光景に強烈に惹かれ即座にシャッターを切る。
興味の対象だけにピントが合い、自分の脳内映像に写真的な効果が加わった映像。
自分の被写体の見つけ方に合うこのような撮り方、表現を好んで使っています。

私はデザイナーでもあるため自然の中のグラフィカルな要素に特に興味を持ちますが、
肉眼で見ながらもカメラで撮った映像を想像しシャッターを切って撮れた写真と
自分の想像の合致、あるいは差異の面白さが
私にまた、新たな機微を探させるのです。

Through the Lens, Seeking Subtle Changes Beyond the Naked Eye.

"Seeking Subtle Changes" is a series of works that attempts to discover the subtle,
often overlooked transitions in nature that exist within the visible but are unseen by the naked eye.

For me, the phrase "seeking subtle changes" has two meanings:
Capturing the fleeting moments of subtle transitions in everything that exists and fades away.
Through the images depicted by the lens, revealing aspects of nature that lie beyond the reach of the naked eye.
am fascinated by the faint expressions of nature that cannot be captured by human vision and can only be seen through photographs.

I am irresistibly drawn to scenes that catch my eye for a brief moment,
prompting me to press the shutter instantly. The focus is on the subject of interest, creating an image with a photographic effect that is enhanced by my mental imagery.
I prefer this approach and expression, as it aligns with my way of finding subjects.

As a designer, I am particularly interested in the graphical elements within nature.
The excitement of comparing the imagined photographs taken with the camera while observing with the naked eye and finding either a match or a difference keeps driving me to seek new subtle changes.
